ARLINGTON – Dancers, clutch your associate and get equipped again to Charleston, jitterbug, Lindy Hop, and cakewalk your manner into spring. Arlington High School’s Jazz Bands present the 26th annual Swing into Spring Dessert Dance at 7 p.m. May 3-4 inside the AHS Commons, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.
Students invite jazz enthusiasts to polish up their dancing shoes because the Commons is converted into the “Easy G Jazz Club,” presenting the ON HOLD and JAZZ II jazz bands, directed through John Grabowski.
Enjoy favorites via Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Glenn Miller, and many extras. The occasion is a show-off for the jazz musicians and a chief fundraiser for the bands.
The jazz bands preserve elegance out of the doors of ordinary faculty hours. ON HOLD is an audition-handiest band that meets each weekday at 7 a.m., Earlier than school. JAZZ II is a volunteer group that rehearses two evenings each week. Tickets are $15.50, which includes dessert and drinks served by the jazz college students. Some tickets can be available at the door; however, purchasing online is recommended at arlingtonsd16.Rentrak.Internet.
