Families of American sailors and squaddies who lost their lives in a disastrous 2nd international conflict exercise off the British coast will be part of veterans, dignitaries, and nearby humans this weekend to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the tragedy. More than 600 personnel misplaced their lives in Exercise Tiger, a rehearsal for D-day, on 28 April 1944; however, the botched operation turned protected for decades and only came to mild forty years later when a hotelier located a Sherman tank misplaced within the exercise on the seabed and hauled it to shore.
